An airport robot according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises: a traveling driving unit which travels a traveling route of the airport robot at the predetermined traveling speed; an object recognition unit for sensing a person and characteristics associated with the person; and a control unit which travels at the predetermined traveling speed and controls the traveling driving unit so as to adjust the predetermined traveling speed in accordance with the characteristics related to the person when the person presents in an area within a predetermined distance from the airport robot.
