Techniques are provided for generating sound using a speaker mounted to an enclosure (e.g., speaker cabinet) wherein a gas pressure level (e.g., air pressure level) inside the enclosure is lower than an ambient air pressure level outside the enclosure. The reduced gas pressure level within the enclosure provides an environment with a reduced pressure level at a back side of a speaker cone of the speaker, which enhances a low frequency response for a given speaker size, while also minimizing resonant frequencies and phase cancellation issues which could otherwise occur with conventional speaker systems in which acoustic sound waves are generated at the back side of the speaker cone. A pressure compensation system is utilized counteract a force applied to the front side of the speaker cone as a result of the gas pressure level inside the enclosure being lower than the ambient air pressure level outside the enclosure.

L'invention concerne des techniques de production de sons à l'aide d'un haut-parleur monté sur une enceinte (par exemple, un caisson de haut-parleur), un niveau de pression de gaz (par exemple, un niveau de pression d'air) à l'intérieur de l'enceinte étant inférieur à un niveau de pression d'air ambiant à l'extérieur de l'enceinte. Le niveau de pression de gaz réduit à l'intérieur de l'enceinte fournit un environnement à niveau de pression réduit au niveau d'un côté arrière d'un cône de haut-parleur du haut-parleur, ce qui améliore une réponse aux basses fréquences pour une taille de haut-parleur donnée, tout en réduisant également au minimum les fréquences de résonance et les problèmes d'annulation de phase qui pourraient sinon se produire avec des systèmes de haut-parleur classiques dans lesquels des ondes sonores acoustiques sont générées au niveau du côté arrière du cône de haut-parleur. Un système de compensation de pression est utilisé pour s'opposer à une force appliquée sur le côté avant du cône de haut-parleur, du fait que le niveau de pression de gaz à l'intérieur de l'enceinte est inférieur au niveau de pression d'air ambiant à l'extérieur de l'enceinte.
