The present invention relates to a video signal decoding method based on multiple transform selection (MTS). The method may comprise the steps of: parsing a first syntax element representing whether MTS applies to the inverse transformation of a current block, wherein the MTS represents a transform mode which uses a transform type other than a default transform type predefined for the current block; by performing inverse quantization on the current block, deriving an inverse-quantized transform coefficient array having the width and the height of the current block; determining, on the basis of the first syntax element, a vertical transform type applying to the vertical direction of the current block, and a horizontal transform type applying to the horizontal direction of the current block; and, by performing inverse transformation on the inverse-quantized transform coefficient array by using the vertical transform type and the horizontal transform type, deriving a residual sample array having the width and the height of the current block.

La présente invention concerne un procédé de décodage de signaux vidéo basé sur une sélection de transformées multiples (MTS). Le procédé peut comprendre les étapes consistant à : analyser un premier élément de syntaxe représentant si la MTS s'applique à la transformation inverse d'un bloc courant, la MTS représentant un mode de transformée qui utilise un type de transformée autre qu'un type de transformée par défaut prédéfini pour le bloc courant ; en réalisant une quantification inverse sur le bloc courant, dériver un réseau de coefficients de transformée inversement quantifiés ayant la largeur et la hauteur du bloc courant ; déterminer, sur la base du premier élément de syntaxe, un type de transformée verticale s'appliquant à la direction verticale du bloc courant, et un type de transformée horizontale s'appliquant à la direction horizontale du bloc courant ; et, en réalisant une transformation inverse sur le réseau de coefficients de transformée inversement quantifiés en utilisant le type de transformée verticale et le type de transformée horizontale, dériver un réseau d'échantillons résiduels ayant la largeur et la hauteur du bloc courant.

본 발명은, MTS(Multiple Transform Selection)를 기반으로 비디오 신호를 복호화하는 방법에 있어서, 현재 블록의 역변환에 상기 MTS가 적용되는지 여부를 나타내는 제1 신택스 요소(syntax element)를 파싱하는 단계, 여기서, 상기 MTS는 상기 현재 블록에 미리 정의된 기본 변환 타입(default transform type) 이외의 다른 변환 타입을 사용하는 변환 모드를 나타냄; 상기 현재 블록에 대하여 역양자화를 수행함으로써 상기 현재 블록의 너비(width) 및 높이(height)를 갖는(with) 역양자화된 변환 계수 배열을 유도하는 단계; 상기 제1 신택스 요소에 기초하여 상기 현재 블록의 수직 방향에 적용되는 수직 변환 타입 및 수평 방향에 적용되는 수평 변환 타입을 결정하는 단계; 및 상기 수직 변환 타입 및 상기 수평 변환 타입을 이용하여, 상기 역양자화된 변환 계수 배열에 대하여 역변환을 수행함으로써 상기 현재 블록의 너비 및 높이를 갖는 레지듀얼 샘플 배열을 유도하는 단계를 포함할 수 있다.
