According to examples of the disclosure there is provided a heat-driven pumping system and a method of pumping. The heat-driven pumping system comprises a closed circuit for a first liquid. The closed circuit comprises a vaporization portion. The vaporization portion is configured to receive heat from an external source. The vaporization portion is configured to cause vaporization of first liquid within the vaporization portion. Vaporization of first liquid within the vaporization portion thereby increases an amount of gas in the closed circuit. The closed circuit is sealed such that the increase in the amount of gas increases a pressure exerted on the first liquid. The heat-driven pumping system comprises a transfer means. The transfer means is configured to convert the pressure exerted on the first liquid into a pumping force. The pumping force is transferred to a pumping vessel for pumping a second liquid.

Selon des exemples de l'invention, l'invention concerne un système de pompage entraîné par la chaleur et un procédé de pompage. Le système de pompage entraîné par la chaleur comprend un circuit fermé destiné à un premier liquide. Le circuit fermé comprend une partie de vaporisation. La partie de vaporisation est conçue pour recevoir de la chaleur provenant d'une source externe. La partie de vaporisation est conçue pour provoquer la vaporisation du premier liquide au sein de la partie de vaporisation. La vaporisation du premier liquide au sein de la partie de vaporisation augmente ainsi une quantité de gaz dans le circuit fermé. Le circuit fermé est rendu étanche de telle sorte que l'augmentation de la quantité de gaz augmente une pression exercée sur le premier liquide. Le système de pompage entraîné par la chaleur comprend un moyen de transfert. Le moyen de transfert est conçu pour convertir la pression exercée sur le premier liquide en une force de pompage. La force de pompage est transférée à un récipient de pompage destiné au pompage d'un second liquide.
