Abstract
(EN) A system for locating defects on a single-wire earth-return (SWER) network can include a network, a plurality of data collection units, and a server communicably coupled to the plurality of data collection units via the network. Each data collection unit can be positioned at a distribution transformer of the SWER network and configured to measure broadband signals originating from a defect along the SWER network; convert the broadband signals to a digital signal; extract parameters from the digital signal; and transmit the extracted parameters over the network. The server can be configured to receive the extracted parameters from each of the plurality of data collection units; and determine a location of the defect based on the extracted parameters.
(FR) L'invention concerne un système de localisation de défauts sur un réseau avec retour par la terre à fil unique (SWER), pouvant comprendre un réseau, une pluralité d'unités de collecte de données, et un serveur couplé en vue d'une communication avec la pluralité d'unités de collecte de données par l'intermédiaire du réseau. Chaque unité de collecte de données peut être positionnée au niveau d'un transformateur de distribution du réseau SWER et configurée pour mesurer des signaux à large bande émanant d'un défaut le long du réseau SWER; convertir les signaux à large bande en un signal numérique; extraire des paramètres du signal numérique; et transmettre les paramètres extraits sur le réseau. Le serveur peut être configuré pour recevoir les paramètres extraits de chacune de la pluralité d'unités de collecte de données; et déterminer l'emplacement du défaut d'après les paramètres extraits.
