Abstract

A monomer design strategy based on a bridged bicyclic thiolactone that produces stereo-disordered to perfectly stereo-ordered polythioesters is disclosed. The described polythioesters exhibit high crystallinity and full chemical recyclability. Such polymers possess intrinsic tacticity-independent crystallinity and chemical recyclability, tunable tacticities from stereo-disorder to perfect stereoregularity, as well as combined high-performance properties such as high thermal stability and crystallinity, and high mechanical strength, ductility and toughness.

L'invention concerne une stratégie de conception de monomères basée sur une thiolactone bicyclique pontée qui produit des polythioesters stéréo-désordonnés à parfaitement stéréo-ordonnés. Les polythioesters décrits présentent une cristallinité élevée et une aptitude au recyclage chimique totale. De tels polymères possèdent une cristallinité intrinsèque indépendante de la tacticité et une recyclabilité chimique, des tacticités ajustables allant du désordre stéréochimique à une parfaite stéréorégularité, ainsi que des propriétés de haute performance combinées telles qu'une stabilité thermique élevée et une cristallinité élevée, et une résistance mécanique, une ductilité et une ténacité élevées.
