Abstract

A device (10) comprises a first (122) and a second (124) modem that, each, stores, one IMSI and has an active and an inactive mode. The modems are initially active and inactive respectively. The first modem is in a data path between a server and the device with a modem manager (200) that: - receives (210, 212), from the modems, a first measurement on a used IMSI1; and a second measurement indicative on a IMSI2; - only if the second measurement is the best one, - sends (216), to the second modem, a command for switching from inactive to active; - sends (218), to the server, currently and previously active IP addresses; - routes (220) data from the first to the second modem, the IMSI2 substituting the IMSI1 at the device; and - sends (222), to the first modem, a command for switching from active to inactive.

Un dispositif (10) comprend un premier (122) et un second (124) modem qui stockent chacun une IMSI et ont un mode actif et un mode inactif. Les modems sont initialement actifs et inactifs respectivement. Le premier modem se trouve dans un chemin de données entre un serveur et le dispositif avec un gestionnaire de modem (200) qui : reçoit (210, 212), en provenance des modems, une première mesure sur une IMSI 1 utilisée, et une seconde mesure indicative sur une IMSI 2; seulement si la seconde mesure est la meilleure, envoie (216), au second modem, une commande pour passer d'un état inactif à un état actif; envoie (218), au serveur, des adresses IP couramment et précédemment actives; route (220) des données du premier au second modem, l'IMSI 2 remplaçant l'IMSI 1 au niveau du dispositif; et envoie (222), au premier modem, une commande pour passer de l'état actif à l'état inactif.
