Abstract

The present invention relates to a catalyst composition for selective catalytic reduction of NOx by ammonia or compounds, such as urea, generating ammonia under exhaust gas conditions, the composition comprising a) a copper ion exchanged zeolite particles having a Si/ Al2 molar ratio (SAR) of 15 or less and a copper content sufficiently high to perform the catalytic reduction, b) a nanocrystalline aluminium compound in an amount sufficient for stabilizing the zeolite, and c) a zirconium compound in an amount sufficient to improve hydrothermal durability of the catalyst composition.

La présente invention concerne une composition de catalyseur pour la réduction catalytique sélective de NOx par de l'ammoniac ou des composés, tels que l'urée, générant de l'ammoniac dans des conditions de gaz d'échappement, la composition comprenant a) des particules de zéolite à échange d'ions de cuivre ayant un rapport molaire Si/ Al2 (SAR) de 15 ou moins et une teneur en cuivre suffisamment élevée pour effectuer la réduction catalytique, b) un composé d'aluminium nanocristallin dans une quantité suffisante pour stabiliser la zéolite, et c) un composé de zirconium dans une quantité suffisante pour améliorer la durabilité hydrothermique de la composition de catalyseur.
