Abstract
(EN) Hydrophobic and superhydrophobic coatings and articles coated with the hydrophobic and superhydrophobic coatings that exhibit superior hydrophobic properties. The hydrophobic or superhydrophobic coatings and the articles coated therewith can be made using unconventional methods, for example, based on a single-step, stoichiometrically-controlled hydrolysis and condensation reaction of organosilanes. The reaction can provide micro- to nano-scale hierarchical siloxane aggregates that are dispersible in solvents (e.g., organic solvents) to provide a coating mixture.
(FR) L'invention concerne des revêtements hydrophobes et superhydrophobes et des articles revêtus avec les revêtements hydrophobes et superhydrophobes qui présentent des propriétés hydrophobes supérieures. Les revêtements hydrophobes ou superhydrophobes et les articles revêtus de ceux-ci peuvent être fabriqués à l'aide de procédés non conventionnels, par exemple, sur la base d'une réaction d'hydrolyse et de condensation d'organosilanes en une seule étape.
