Abstract
(EN) There is a damper wedge for a railroad car truck. It has a removable and replaceable friction element that reciprocates on the wear plate of the side frame column of the railroad car truck. It has a non-metallic wear surface; a spring seat that, in use, engages a spring of the railroad car truck; and an inclined damper wedge surface having a primary angle, alpha, and a secondary angle, beta. The inclined damper wedge surface has a curvature. The curvature has a working point. The working point is located in a central region of a contact patch, or working surface patch. The nonmetallic wear surface material is mounted to a carrier that mounts removably to the damper wedge body. The carrier has fingers that span the wedge and that transfer shear and resist torsion, the fingers preventing the non-metallic member from migrating out of position.
(FR) L'invention concerne une cale d'amortissement pour un bogie de wagon de chemin de fer. Il comporte un élément de frottement amovible et remplaçable qui présente un mouvement de va et vient sur la plaque d'usure de la colonne de châssis latéral du bogie de wagon de chemin de fer. Il présente une surface d'usure non métallique ; un siège à ressort qui, lors de l'utilisation, vient en prise avec un ressort du bogie de wagon de chemin de fer ; et une surface de cale d'amortissement inclinée ayant un angle primaire, alpha et un angle secondaire, bêta. La surface de cale d'amortissement inclinée a une courbure. La courbure a un point de travail. Le point de travail est situé dans une région centrale du timbre de contact ou timbre de surface de travail. Le matériau de surface d'usure non métallique est monté sur un support qui est monté de manière amovible sur le corps de cale d'amortissement.
