A method of increasing hydrothermal stability of an adsorbent comprising a small pore cationic zeolite in a swing adsorption process is disclosed. The method comprises the steps of coating the zeolite with a silylation agent to result in a silylated zeolite; and performing the swing adsorption process. The swing adsorption process comprises contacting the silylated zeolite with feed stream comprising water. The swing adsorption process may comprise removing CO2 from a feed stream comprising CO2 and water.

L'invention concerne un procédé d'augmentation de la stabilité hydrothermique d'un adsorbant comprenant une zéolite cationique à petits pores dans un processus d'adsorption modulée. Le procédé comprend les étapes consistant à recouvrir la zéolite d'un agent de silylation pour obtenir une zéolite silylée ; et à réaliser le processus d'adsorption modulée. Le processus d'adsorption modulée consiste à mettre en contact la zéolite silylée avec un courant d'alimentation comprenant de l'eau. Le processus d'adsorption modulée peut consister à retirer du CO2 d'un courant d'alimentation comprenant du CO2 et de l'eau.
