Methods and systems for determining operational health of a top drive. A method may include commencing operation of a processing device to determine operational health of a top drive for rotating a drill string at a wellsite. The processing device may then output a first control command to a first motor of the top drive to cause the first motor to perform a rotational operation, output a second control command to a second motor of the top drive to cause the second motor to impart a load to the first motor, receive a sensor measurement indicative of an operational parameter of the top drive, and determine operational health of the top drive based on the sensor measurement.

L'invention concerne des procédés et des systèmes permettant de déterminer l'état opérationnel d'un entraînement supérieur. Un procédé peut consister à démarrer le fonctionnement d'un dispositif de traitement afin de déterminer l'état opérationnel d'un entraînement supérieur permettant de faire tourner un train de tiges de forage au niveau d'un emplacement du puits. Le dispositif de traitement peut produire ensuite une première instruction de commande à un premier moteur de l'entraînement supérieur afin d'amener le premier moteur à effectuer un fonctionnement de rotation, produire une seconde instruction de commande à un second moteur de l'entraînement supérieur afin d'amener le second moteur à communiquer une charge au premier moteur, recevoir une mesure d'un capteur indiquant un paramètre opérationnel de l'entraînement supérieur, et déterminer l'état opérationnel de l'entraînement supérieur en fonction de la mesure du capteur.
