Abstract

This invention deals with effect pigment mixture comprising platelet-like aluminum effect pigments obtained by grinding of aluminum or aluminum based alloy shot and silvery pearlescent pigments, wherein the silvery pearlescent pigments are taken from the group consisting of: a) pearlescent pigments comprising a transparent substrate which is coated with a high-refractive index layer with n > 1.8, which comprises or consists of an iron-oxide with Fe(II)-ions, b) pearlescent pigments comprising a transparent substrate which is coated with a high-refractive index layer with n > 1.8, which comprises or consists of titanium suboxide or a pearlescent pigment comprising a substrate with a high-refractive index with n > 1.8 layer, which comprises or consists of a titanium suboxide that is optionally coated with a high-refractive index layer with n > 1.8, c) pearlescent pigments comprising a transparent substrate which is coated with a high-refractive index layer with n > 1.8, which comprises or consists of titanium oxynitride, d) pearlescent pigments comprising a transparent substrate which is coated with a layer comprising carbon, wherein the carbon is enclosed in a particulate form in another metal oxide layer or is formed as a separate, individual layer, e) a transparent substrate coated with a first layer comprising or consisting of a mixture of the oxides of titanium, iron and at least one of cobalt and chromium and a second layer on the first layer, wherein the second layer comprises an oxide of titanium, and mixtures or combinations of the pearlescent pigments a) to e) or pearlescent pigments with mixtures or combinations of the various coating layers mentioned in the pearlescent pigments a) to e), wherein the weight ratio of the pearlescent pigment to the aluminum effect pigment is in a range of 0.4 to 5.0. The invention deals also with a coating formulation containing this effect pigment mixture.

La présente invention concerne un mélange de pigments à effet comprenant des pigments à effet aluminium de type plaquettes obtenus par broyage de grenaille d'aluminium ou d'alliage à base d'aluminium et de pigments nacrés argentés, les pigments nacrés argentés étant tirés du groupe constitué : a) de pigments nacrés comprenant un substrat transparent qui est revêtu d'une couche à indice de réfraction élevé avec n > 1,8, qui comprend ou est constitué d’un oxyde de fer présentant des ions Fe(II), b) de pigments nacrés comprenant un substrat transparent qui est revêtu d'une couche à indice de réfraction élevé avec n > 1,8, qui comprend ou est constitué d'un sous-oxyde de titane ou d'un pigment nacré comprenant un substrat ayant une couche à indice de réfraction élevé avec n > 1,8, qui comprend ou est constitué d’un sous-oxyde de titane qui est éventuellement revêtu d'une couche à indice de réfraction élevé avec n > 1,8, c) de pigments nacrés comprenant un substrat transparent qui est revêtu d'une couche à indice de réfraction élevé avec n > 1,8, qui comprend ou est constitué d'oxynitrure de titane, d) de pigments nacrés comprenant un substrat transparent qui est revêtu d'une couche comprenant du carbone, le carbone étant enfermé sous forme particulaire dans une autre couche d'oxyde métallique ou étant formé sous forme de couche individuelle distincte, e) d’un substrat transparent revêtu d'une première couche comprenant ou étant constituée d’un mélange des oxydes de titane, du fer et de cobalt et/ou de chrome et d’une seconde couche sur la première couche, la seconde couche comprenant un oxyde de titane, et des mélanges ou des combinaisons des pigments nacrés a) à e) ou des pigments nacrés présentant des mélanges ou des combinaisons des diverses couches de revêtement mentionnées dans les pigments nacrés a) à e), le rapport pondéral du pigment nacré au pigment à effet aluminium étant compris dans une plage de 0,4 à 5,0. L'invention concerne également une formulation de revêtement contenant ce mélange de pigments à effet.
