Disclosed herein is a device comprising a PHA based copolymer layer comprising at least one of an electrospun ribbon of fibers of a polyhydroxyaIkanoate based copolymer or the polarized polymeric composition obtained by the process of claim 1, wherein the layer is configured to exhibit one or more of a piezoelectric effect, a pyroelectric effect and a ferroelectric effect, wherein each of the electrospun ribbon of fibers and the polarized polymeric composition comprises a β-form of the PHA based copolymer present in an amount of from about 10% to about 99%, as measured by x-ray diffraction. The device can be configured for use as a sensor, an actuator, a nanomotor, or a biobattery.

L'invention concerne un dispositif comprenant une couche de copolymère à base de PHA comprenant un ruban électrofilé de fibres d'un copolymère à base de polyhydroxyaIkanoate et/ou la composition polymère polarisée obtenue par le procédé de la revendication 1, la couche étant conçue pour présenter un ou plusieurs effets parmi un effet piézoélectrique, un effet pyroélectrique et un effet ferroélectrique, le ruban de fibres électrofilé et la composition polymère polarisée comprenant tous deux une forme β du copolymère à base de PHA présent en une proportion comprise entre environ 10 % et environ 99 %, telle que mesurée par diffraction des rayons X. Le dispositif peut être conçu pour être utilisé en tant que capteur, actionneur, nanomoteur ou biopile.
