Abstract

A blood pump system including an optical sensor configured to detect an optical signal during pumping operation of the blood pump, and an optical fiber configured to transmit the optical signal from the optical fiber sensor to an evaluation device communicatively coupled to the optical fiber sensor. The evaluation device is configured to receive as inputs the transmitted optical signal and a signal indicative of the motor current and determine a mechanical failure event associated with the blood pump based on the motor current and the optical signal.

Un système de pompe d'assistance circulatoire comprend un capteur optique conçu pour détecter un signal optique pendant une opération de pompage de la pompe d'assistance circulatoire, et une fibre optique conçue pour transmettre le signal optique du capteur à fibre optique à un dispositif d'évaluation couplé en communication au capteur à fibre optique. Le dispositif d'évaluation est conçu pour recevoir en entrée le signal optique transmis et un signal indiquant le courant du moteur et déterminer un événement de défaillance mécanique associé à la pompe d'assistance circulatoire sur la base du courant du moteur et du signal optique.
