A device comprising: a first jaw having a gripping surface; a second jaw having a gripping surface, the second jaw being spaced apart from the first jaw and being configured to move between an open position and a closed position, and a sealer divider having a plurality of stops including at least: one or more distal stops, one or more proximal stops; and one or more intermediate stops that are of an intermediate height when compared to a height of the one or more distal stops and a height the one or more proximal stops, and wherein the plurality of stops are non-conductive and are distributed on the gripping surface of the first jaw, the gripping surface of the second jaw, or both, and wherein the first jaw and the second jaw have a proximal end and a distal end and the plurality of stops produce a gap that is widest at the proximal end and tapers so that a gap at the distal end is narrower than the gap at the proximal end.

L'invention concerne un dispositif comprenant : une première mâchoire ayant une surface de préhension; une seconde mâchoire ayant une surface de préhension, la seconde mâchoire étant espacée de la première mâchoire et étant configurée pour se déplacer entre une position ouverte et une position fermée, et un diviseur de scellement ayant une pluralité de butées comprenant au moins : une ou plusieurs butées distales, une ou plusieurs butées proximales; et une ou plusieurs butées intermédiaires qui sont d'une hauteur intermédiaire par rapport à une hauteur de l'au moins une butée distale et une hauteur de l'au moins une butée proximale, et la pluralité de butées étant non conductrices et étant réparties sur la surface de préhension de la première mâchoire, la surface de préhension de la seconde mâchoire, ou les deux, et la première mâchoire et la seconde mâchoire ayant une extrémité proximale et une extrémité distale et la pluralité de butées produisant un espace qui est plus large au niveau de l'extrémité proximale et se rétrécissant de telle sorte qu'un espace au niveau de l'extrémité distale est plus étroit que l'espace au niveau de l'extrémité proximale.
